9:30 a.m. Walk begins
10:00-12:00 p.m. Face painting , Moon jumps, Games, give-aways and dancing!
11:00 a.m. Lunch

Our Walk History
In October of 2001 Up4Downs of SWLA held our first Walk in Lake Charles to promote inclusion and acceptance of those with Down syndrome.
For the first 4 years our walk was held at the Lake Charles Civic. In 2005 we attended the Buddy Walk in Lafayette due to hurricane damage in our area.
2008 our walk was moved to McNeese State University. 2010 we moved to Step Up for Down syndrome Family Fun Day & Walk. This year we had
over 1200 people joined us to celebrate and promote awareness . Since 2001 we have seen our community come together for people with Down syndrome
and their families.
